Over the Adige river that crosses the city are several beautiful bridges, like the Ponte Pietra and the Ponte di Castelvecchio (or Ponte Scaligero) that is built in 1356. The city also has two beautiful castles, called Castelvecchio and Castel San Pietro. Another beloved attraction of Verona is the house of Juliet (casa di Giulietta), which is famous because of Shakespeare’s tragedy Romeo and Juliet.
