A travel guide to the best places to visit

Westerpark (and Westergasfabriek)

The Westerpark is located on the edge of the citycenter and was formerly a site where a large gas house stood. The park is also known as Cultuurpark (Culture Park). The location is frequently used to host large parties and major events such as the Amsterdam Fashion Week. In the Westerpark are also some nice eating and drinking establishments as well as a cinema. The park is surprisingly interesting because of its combination of rich culture and natural beauty that can be enjoyed throughout the year. In most places there is free WiFi available. Barbecuing is only allowed in designated areas.
