A travel guide to the best places to visit

Beatrixpark

The Beatrixpark is located in the posh district of Amsterdam-Zuid and owes its name to the former Queen of the Netherlands. The park is set in a romantic style. On the east side there is the Artsenijhof, a medicinal herb garden which consists of three different parts. And each part has its own distinct characteristics. The park has hundreds of medicinal herbs. Signs in the park indicate which healing effects the herbs have. For children there is a playground in the park and a small pool which is open during the summer months. Barbecuing is not allowed.
